In 2015 WHMIS was updated through the UN Global Harmonization System with the goal of insuring all countries were using the same signs, symbols and reporting documents. Effective December 2018, WHMIS 1988 no longer applies. It is therefore important to update your previous WHMIS certification to ensure compliance.
