April Fool's Run

ANNOUNCEMENT: Postponement of 2020 BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool’s Run presented by Eastlink To all participants, potential participants, volunteers and sponsors: As a result of the newly announced provincial ban on events larger than 250 people due to the COVID-19 situation, we will not be able to hold the 2020 Fools Run on April 5th. But don’t despair! It will be postponed, NOT cancelled.... We have chosen Sunday, August 9th as an alternative race date. (That is the weekend we usually reserve for the Four Lakes 10k in Garden Bay.) It doesn’t conflict with any other types of large events on the Sunshine Coast. Yes, it will be warmer than our usual April date but in fact, it’s never been all that warm for the Four Lakes race. We will add at least 1 extra water station on course. All entries for the April 5th date will be automatically carried over to the August 9th date. If you know now that you will be unable to attend on August 9th due to previously made plans, we will be offering a free deferral to the 2021 edition of the Fools Run, or a free transfer of your 2020 entry to another person. Please email us at [email protected] no later than Friday, March 27th to request your free deferral or transfer. Use subject line Fools Run 2020 COVID-19 Deferral Request. If a transfer request, please Cc: the person who will be receiving the transferred entry and ask them to provide us with their details (as on the entry form). We truly appreciate your understanding and support in these trying and unusual circumstances. We were really looking forward to celebrating with you on April 5th.
