In response to the recent news release from the Sudbury Health Unit regarding the Covid-19 exposure risk from an equipment repair business in Massey, Ontario, called "Foothills Farm Service". Please be assured this is not referring to our farm. This is an unfortunate case of a similarly named business in a close geographical area. We remain COVID-19 free and are not closed. Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery go out to the individuals from the affected... business. We encourage everyone to stay safe by wearing a face covering, practicing social distancing and washing your hands thoroughly and often. Unfortunately this post from Public Health Sudbury & Districts has caused many individuals in our community to believe that this release relates to our family farm. As you can imagine, the nature of this announcement relating to a business sharing our name, while erroneous, poses the possibility of causing real harm to our family-owned farm.
