Update on GFW waitlist Due to the shut down, weather and other unrelated things, my waitlist for GFW hasn’t budged much. I do apologize for the extra long wai...t. I’m hoping as the nicer weather rolls in and the vaccine becomes more available, there will be no more delays in my weekly visits to GFW Thanks for your understanding, ~ Evexia

In 1998, approx. 29 million Americans became overweight overnight, without having gained a pound. How did this happen? Well, let me tell you a story. Back in 19...98 a panel of experts at the National Institutes of Health looked at the reference ranges for the Body Mass Index (BMI). They looked to see if the healthy weight and overweight categories were in the right place. After looking at the research they decided to make a change and shift the BMI overweight category from 27.5 to 25. People who had been told by their doctor that their weight is just fine were now told to lose weight. In real-world terms, this is a 15 25 lbs. weight difference (between 27.5 -> 25 BMI). Sothe real question is, was this good for us? Did it make us healthier? It’s been 22 years since this change was made and the data showsdrumrollno. No, it didn’t. A meta-analysis that looked at over 3 million people found that if we consider many factors, including risk of death, people in the overweight category are healthier. Lemme repeat that this giant meta-analysis found that people who are considered to be overweight are HEALTHIER than those who are in the healthy weight category. Arg! Am I right?? Sothen why was this change made? Short answer industry pressure. In his book Fat Politics, author J. Eric Oliver says that this decision was highly influenced by the dieting industry. According to Oliver, the chairman of the committee had strong ties to several manufacturers of diet drugs and Weight Watchers. You can bet the dieting industry loved the new guidelines! Can you imagine how busy Weight Watchers got right after the new guidelines were announced??? So, what if we just ignored this problematic number? What if we’re perfectly healthy exactly the way we are? xo Lisa
A person can have a number of deficiencies that can be affecting their health and how they feel each day, so if a person has say 5 deficiencies can you imagine how they might feel every day, is it any wonder that one of the most common complaints I here is not I feel like this or I feel like that, no more often then not I here simply I don’t feel right or I don’t feel like myself or I can’t remember the last time I felt good, so if in your everyday life you have symptoms or just don’t feel right and don’t know why give me a call I can help you with that.
