Pitch It is happening tonight! Last year's event was a huge success. Laura Caitlin took home the prize for her script/pitch 'Mad Ones'. Many other participants also saw their work supported through this event. Come out to The Company House at 9pm, where our esteemed panel made up of Karen Gross, Jeremy Webb, Laura Caitlin and Anthony Black will see intriguing playwrights Colleen MacIsaac, Carey Bray, Katerina Bakolias, Michael Robson, Rebecca Falvey and Tom Niles pitch their play ideas for a chance to win $1000 and a development deal with Eastern Front Theatre.
We’re looking for new members! Being a part of the Bus Stop Theatre Playwrights Unit gives writers an opportunity to hear their work out loud, receive feedback,... and adhere to monthly deadlines. We also put on short play nights every few months, which provide low-pressure, satisfying creative work for everyone involved. If you currently write scripts, or if you write something else but are intrigued by the idea of making actors say the words you write, please apply to [email protected] by March 7th, 2018 with the following: 1. A statement of interest (what you would love to get out of the experience) 2. The idea for the play you would like to develop within the Unit 3. Your Theatre/Writing CV Submissions from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences are highly encouraged. Come sit with us!

TWO MORE SHOWS TODAY! "TreeGirl is an unusual meditative, mesmerizing piece of theatre (...) a river of the turbulence of the human soul moving slowly to the beat of its own poetic rhythms. It's an interesting, brave and thought-provoking piece of theatre about subjects people do not like to talk about."
Meet our panel for this years Pitch It! They are no strangers to the pitch themselves. Come out on Monday and see which project this powerful team chooses to win a prize of $1000 plus a development deal with Eastern Front. Pitch It 2 is a part of the 2017 Eastern Front Stages Festival.
Opening tomorrow! Thank you Local Express
