There has been some promising news in the media as of yesterday about re-opening massage therapy practices in Ontario. There are still several measures that need to be in place before I can open back up, but please know, that i am working towards making sure everything is safe for you and myself when the time comes. I know the million dollar question is "when are you actually going to open"?....I would like to say that if everything goes well, I would like to reopen the wee...k of either June 15 or June 22nd. We are required by our regulating college (CMTO) to prioritize clients with essential care needs while gradually resuming practice. I will be in contact with these clients first and then continue on with reaching out to everyone else. PLEASE NOTE: I WILL NOT BE TAKING REQUESTS FOR APPOINTMENT DATES BEFORE JUNE 1ST. It's likely that I will not be up to full capacity for some time, in order to get used to all of the new procedures (cleaning/disinfecting, PPE, new consent/screening protocol and a general new routine to ensure the health of everyone involved). As you are all aware, I also have 3 children who are not in school and summer camps have been cancelled, so I need to take that into consideration as well. I will do my best to see as many of you as possible and to be fair in booking appointments. More details will come about which days I will be working and available times for appointments. As stated in my last communication, I will also be sending out a video that will explain what to expect when returning to the massage therapy environment that you can review before your appointment. As we finally see some rays of sunshine in the restrictions that are being lifted, I wanted to let you know that work is being done "behind the scenes" in order to prepare for your return to the clinic. I will be releasing a video in the coming weeks about the extra precautions that will be in place when I am allowed to reopen. I am currently reading up on current health measures suggested by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and taking online courses offered by ...Public Health Ontario. As RMT's, we are currently waiting on an official "opening" date when we will be allowed to treat clients again; and we are waiting for clarification as to what phase we fit into with regards to Ontario's recovery plan. Trust me when I say you will be the first to know! I truly appreciate all the clients that have reached out to me in the past several weeks and I know you are all anxiously awaiting any news about the clinic being open again. Just in case you didn't see the email I sent to everyone: Good morning to all my clients! First and foremost, I want to say that I hope you are all keeping healthy, that I miss each and every one of you, and that I cannot wait to welcome you back to my clinic!... In support of the recommendations from public health and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, I will remain closed until further notice. These decisions (while out of my control) are not easy for anybody. I can appreciate the level of stress that you must all be going through as well as the physical discomforts that were once managed/relieved by massage therapy. I am certain that we will get through this tough time together and that there will be brighter days in our future! It is those days, that keep me going, on these days! A message to all my valued clients: Good evening,... There has just been a notice issued to all Registered Massage Therapists of Ontario, by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), to suspend all non-essential Massage Therapy treatments until further notice. The CMTO believes this is an important step in protecting the health of Ontarians, and aligns with social distancing recommendations made by the Government of Ontario and Government of Canada. Effective immediately, all treatments will be cancelled at FCMTC until Monday April 6th. As further news becomes available, I will certainly keep you informed. If you have a concern and are not sure if your treatment would be deemed essential, I encourage you to send me an email, so that I may evaluate each personal case. In the event that your situation is deemed essential, and a treatment is required, I will continue to implement active screening and strict infection prevention practices in my clinic space. If you have an appointment today, please leave plenty of extra time to get here as I hear the roads are slow. Drive safe everyone!

Due to the very poor road conditions (especially in the subdivisions) all appointments will be cancelled today and rescheduled. If you have to travel anywhere today, be safe and leave lots of time!!

There is an opening Monday night at 6:45pm for a one hour appointment if anyone is interested? Please PM me; first to respond gets the appointment:). Not open to new clients.
