Despite the uncertain times that we are all experiencing the promise of spring is here. It's a very busy time on the farm. Time to mend fences, clean up windfalls, build corrals, help newborn babies into the world, spread manure on hay fields, repair machinery, build chick pens etc. We are very fortunate, and close enough to nature, that we sometimes forget what's on the 24 hour news cycle. Challenging times can cause people to reflect on their life's priorities. If the co...untless texts, calls, and messages I have received lately are an indicator, this includes knowing where food comes from. We are making a conscious and continuous effort to keep our family and your family safe. One step is trying to decrease the frequency of face to face interaction with our customers. As much as we miss seeing y'all each week at the farm market or dropping by our shop, we've decided that filling "larger orders - more often" is safer. We are making up variety box orders with items such as ground beef, whole chickens, sausages, ground pork, roasts, stew meat, ham steaks, beef steaks, pork chops and bacon. A $250 value at market prices is reduced to $200 for these larger orders. Another step we are taking is to try and fill multiple orders at once and delivering for free when possible. Also, we can accept e-transfer for all orders. Cash is still accepted and we sanitize hands between all deliveries. As a reminder: Our chickens are certified free range and processed at a provincially inspected poultry facility. We will be attending both Shelburne and Yarmouth farmers markets tomorrow. We have a wide variety of cuts from our own grass fed beef available. T-bone, striploins, sirloin, kabob skewers and much more! Freshly cut and wrapped. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

For our Shelburne friends, we will not be able to attend the market tomorrow. A few machinery setbacks requires that we keep "making hay while the sun shines". Actually mowing in fields right next to the ocean. Got to love that! Alison will be at our table in Yarmouth as usual.
