Eine Katastrophe, die nicht enden will! :( Das dritte Jahr in Folge leiden unsere Wälder unter der extremen Dürre. Diese Trockenheit macht unseren Bäumen schwer... zu schaffen. Das Video zeigt die massiven Borkenkäferschäden in der Fichte. Das Problem jetzt nur auf die Fichte zu beschränken, ist zu kurz gegriffen. In unserem nördlichen Nachbarforstämtern stirbt die Buche im großen Stil. Und das, obwohl dies eine Baumart ist, die in unseren Wäldern wachsen würde, wenn der Mensch nicht eingegriffen hätte. Das heißt, auch die Baumart die hier ursprünglich ist, hat der momentanen Trockenheit wenig entgegenzusetzen. Ebenso leiden andere Laubbaumarten wie z.B. die Eiche unter der Trockenheit. Als die Fichte vor langer Zeit gepflanzt wurde, herrschte noch ein völlig anderes Klima und der Hintergedanke bei der Pflanzung war eine ausreichende Rohstoffversorgung der nachfolgenden Generationen. Mit dem Sterben der Fichte wird sich nicht nur die Rohstoffversorgung in den nächsten Jahren massiv verändern. Produkte unseres täglichen Gebrauchs werden nicht mehr in dem Maße hergestellt werden können. Auch die Pflanzen- und Tierwelt wird sich verändern und es wird z.B. keine Ameisenhaufen mehr geben, so wie wir sie kennen. Wir werden euch in den nächsten Monaten verschiedene Standorte vorstellen und zeigen, welche Baumarten bzw. Mischungen von Baumarten dort gepflanzt werden können. Ob unsere Entscheidung richtig sein wird, werden die nachfolgenden Generationen in 50-100 Jahren beurteilen.
