Petit récit du périple de nos amis de la forêt Deschênes qui ont parcouru le sentier du corridor du Ministère des transports du Québec (MTQ), et qui ont ainsi pu se rendre jusqu'à la forêt Boucher en marchant! Ça fait rêver, non?

The Boucher Forest Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Richard as President of the Board of Directors! Christina has been involved with the Foundation for 10 years: first as an employee, then as President, she also sat on the Board of Directors of CREDDO as the Foundation's representative from 2015 to 2020. It is therefore a return to her first love and the entire team of the Fondation forêt Boucher is happy to welcome her back!

A "bubble class" from Grande-Rivière High School carried out a clean-up chore in the Boucher Forest. Thanks to the students who chose themselves this volunteer project in partnership with the Boucher Forest Foundation!

Despite the pandemic, the Boucher Forest Foundation was able to hold a hybrid bioblitz in 2020. 27 volunteer scientists went to the Boucher Forest to identify flora and fauna species. No less than 543 observations have been recorded, including 222 new species! We have therefore 1120 species officially recorded in the Boucher Forest! Well done and thank you to the volunteers and our partners: the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and the Ville de Gatineau Green Fund!

Our three musketeers are recidivating! Thank you to our volunteers Maurice, Denis and Alex who accompanied our coordinator Maxime for a second forest cleanup this month! We are very grateful for your time and work!

What a beautiful AGM 2019 it was last night! Thank you to all our members who participated in this meeting! We would like to mention the departure of 4 great directors: Adrian Corbo, Chantalle Lambert, Réal Lalande and Denis Groulx (our forestkeeper ). We are deeply grateful for your involvement and contribution! We would like to highlight Adrian's tremendous commitment and work as president for 6 years! It was largely because of him that the Boucher Forest Foundation went ...from small volunteer organization to manager of the 2th largest urban park in Gatineau! Thank you for everything Adrian, we will miss you so much! Their departure doesn't leave us orphans, far from it! We have a fantastic board of directors that was elected yesterday! Thank you to our remaining admistrators: Ariann Bouchard, Joëlle Ritchie, Véronic Boyer, Lyne-Marie Tremblay, Maurice Thibaudeau, Nathalie Magnang and Stephen Knowles. Welcome back to the sparkling Christina Richard who has been involved in the Boucher Forest Foundation for over 10 years and welcome Alain Lavoie, the new one who knows the forest like the bottom of his pocket! Long live to the Boucher Forest!

For Thanksgiving, we would like to take the time to say thank you. Thank you the City of Gatineau for all its efforts to protect the Boucher Forest. Thank you to the citizens for their support for this protection. Thank you to all of our volunteers who put their heart and soul into this project #thankyou
