The Forever Fund is hosting it’s inaugural No-Gala Gala and it’s only a few weeks away - April 25th! Covid-19 prevents us from hosting traditional gatherings, but the No-Gala Gala is a way for our community to come together from a far to enjoy a night at the Oscars! Here’s how it works: ... Purchase a ticket to support The Forever Fund and receive your Oscar ticket. Tickets are $50 and 100% of the ticket price will support The Forever Fund, the endowment fund for United Way Central New Brunswick. Location: The comfort of your home! Attire: Dress up for the occasion or be cozy in your PJ’s. Bonus: For each ticket sold, your name will be entered to win a Party for Two cheese platter from Grazing Tables to enjoy while watching the Oscars. Meet the board! This week we would like to introduce you to our board director - Sherri Hatheway! Originally from Halifax, N.S., Sherri has resided in Fredericton for more than 20 years. She lives with her husband Bob and their 3 children, Victoria, Rachel & Robbie. After graduating from Dalhousie University, she found herself working as a personal trainer at the Adelaide Club in downtown Toronto and as an Exercise Specialist at Goreway Rehab Center in Mississauga. Once in Fredericton, she worked as a Personal Trainer specializing in Rehab fitness, retiring to become a mother. She now refers to herself as a career volunteer. She has served time on numerous boards and event committees for the past 15 years. She has spent more than a decade on the Forever Fund board serving 3 of those years as President.

Meet the Board! This week we would like to introduce you to the Director of Development and Donor Relations for United Way and Forever Fund, Anne Foster! Anne has over 30 years’ experience volunteering and working in the charity sector. She has worked at United Way Central New Brunswick as their Director of Development and Donor Relations for 12 years. In 2019, she joined the Forever Fund team as our Endowment Officer, and now divides her time between the two organization...s. She credits her parents for instilling in her the value and importance of giving back to and supporting the community you live in. Anne is a graduate of UNB with a degree in Business Administration. She is a Rekik Master and proud Grammie to her two grandsons and granddaughter. See more

Meet The Board! This week we would like to introduce you to our Treasurer of the board Oliver Glencross. Oliver Glencross is currently the Director of Finance, LTL,TL for Day & Ross. Previously, Oliver held positions with the New Brunswick Liquor Corporation and Newalta Corporation. Oliver is a designated accountant holding the CMA, CPA designation. Oliver’s first exposure to the United Way was with Newalta Corporation where he volunteered in their annual campaign in many roles, including committee chair. Oliver is from Fredericton and lives with his wife (Katie Springer) and two boys Harrison and Reggie.

Meet The Board! This week we would like to introduce you to our past President and current member of the board Dan Nicholson. Dan Nicholson is a recently retired public accountant. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1985 and was a partner and an associate in the firm of EPR Daye Kelly and Associates. Dan has volunteered with many organizations over the years including being Treasurer and President of the United Way, a venue finance manager with the Harves...t Jazz and Blues Festival, a leader with the 1st Springhill Scout Group and is currently the chair of the Buildings Committee of the Keswick Ridge Historical Society. One of the founding members of the Forever Fund, he was Treasurer when the Fund was incorporated in 1998. Dan has been Treasurer since then until be elected to the position of President in 2016. Dan, and his wife Barb, currently resides in Keswick Ridge and are parents of three children and has five grandchildren. In his retirement, he is enjoying life on their horse farm and he is an avid skier. See more

Meet The Board! This week we would like to introduce you to our Vice President of the board - Jeff Richardson. Jeff keeps the trains running - and the music playing - as General Manager of Harvest Jazz & Blues - the largest Canadian music festival East of Montreal. Prior to joining Harvest, Jeff served as Executive Director of United Way of Central New Brunswick for six years. In that role, Jeff worked to evolve United Way’s community impact mission by strengthening local pa...rtnerships with businesses, charities, non-profits, and government to deliver programs and strategies that have impact and change lives in Central NB. Jeff's work is driven by the belief that working together, we can make our community a better place for everyone. Jeff has experience in non-profits and higher education, having spent a decade working in student affairs and services at University of Toronto where he also completed a Master of Education. Prior to his time at U of T, Jeff was General Manager of Meal Exchange, a national non-profit organization that engages, educates and mobilizes youth to work with their communities in order to alleviate hunger locally. Meet The Board This week we would like to introduce you to our Chair of the board - Cindy Pope. Cindy Pope has been a volunteer with the United Way of Central NB for over 20 years and joined the Forever Fund board in 2007. Since then, she has held several positions including Secretary, Vice-President, Chair of Donor Relations and now President of the board. She lives in New Maryland, NB with her husband, Mike, two daughters, Alex and Taylor, and 3 year old labradoodle, Tetley. Cindy keeps busy with their children’s activities, her work as a Community Business Partner with Alcool NB Liquor, managing her online Arbonne business, her hobbies, travelling, volunteering, spending time with friends and family and through her work as Vice President of the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Atlantic) board.
