Custom pot rack for customer with sliding hooks.
Another railing completed.
Boundary stakes for Parks Canad
Another completed railing installed when no one was around. It was finished before Christmas but the owners wanted to wait until it got warmer to install and then Covid-19 came along. The railing is what I call my Fibonacci Railing. The dimensions are over 90% based on Fibonacci numbers making it a little tricky to design.

Forged in Canada had a first - maybe a first in all of Canada - North America? On Sunday, a Bachelorette party was held. The ladies all came with the bride to be in tow to spend a good part of the day with steel and fire. The bride to be certainly was surprised! Not like anyone is going to guess your Bachelorette being held in a blacksmith shop. It was my first Bachelorette - males (at least in the capacity of observer or instructor) seem never to be invited. It was a great time. I can say they all got hammered (in the good way - no alcohol). They left with great memories, fun and the items they forged.
4 long swords from left to right create for the BarnDoor Productions latest offering - MacBeth. Made out of spring steel, heated treated and ready for combat.
Reenactors tripod and trammel for open fire cooking. Avail e by request. Tis the season.
Forged in Canada is now open to highway traffic. A new flag pole with the Canadian Flag at the top and blacksmith flag fly in the wind. An open sign is present when I am in the shop. My wife, Cindy, head gardener Vicki Van Alstine and daughter, Selena, did a wonderful job painting and planting flowers on the outside of the shop. IMG_0675.JPGRemove photo
Last Thursday, SABA from Ottawa held a team building event at Forged in Canada. Great afternoon of forging for all. A great opportunity for business, big and small, to book an afternoon or day of workshop time in the forge. Look forward to doing more fun events like this. If interested, please contact me for more info.
Weddîng trellis for a recent wedding. Custom trellis's available to purchase or for rent for that special occasion.

had a number of people ask about the percentage of bounce from the face of my anvil. Instead of taking my word for it, Robert and myself conducted a brief experiment using a ball bearing a graduate plastic cylinder to show the boiounce campared to other anvils. Enjoy
Short notice 5 day blacksmithing course coming up starting December 10th. I will not have a full class so this would be an ideal time if past students wanted to learn something particular during this five day period ranging from a day to multi days. Perhaps hinge making, making Christmas presents, etc.
Still room in the upcoming two day blacksmithing course: November 3 and 4.
