First off - how sick is that s'well bottle?!?! I'd be way more likely to meal prep if I had that! To prep or not to prep... I fall into the not category, well not in the common Insta worthy sense. ... It just doesn’t work for us to spend hours on the weekend getting all set for the week, plus we aren’t fans of the same meals all week, we like to live on the edge. What works for our house is that I have veggies prepped and ready to grab all the time, fruit is cleaned and ready to grab from the fruit bowl or fridge. I make a plan of meals that we will have for the week and shop from that. I also always make a double batch, then freeze half for nights when life happens, this works great except when I misjudge the appetite of my preteen son. What’s your secret to meal prep/plan success?

Can you guess how many veggies are in this Spaghetti sauce? 6! Well 8 if you count Onions and Garlic, I like to sneak veggies in when I can with meals like this. I use my favourite marinara pasta sauce (Tomatoes) then pump it up with shredded zucchini and carrots, chopped spinach, riced cauliflower, and chopped mushrooms. ... I used this when our kids were little and didn’t like to see different things in their foods, so I would sneak pureed veggies into everything I could, then also served the whole veggie on the side so they could see us eating it. This works great for anyone who isn’t a fan of veggies. How do you sneak your veggies in?

The overhead squat is usually the first exercise that we have someone do during an assessment. Only a small percentage of people can successfully perform this complex movement pattern. With so many things out of our control right now, there are still many things we do have control of. Staying hydrated is one of them and one that is easily overlooked when your routines change. Water plays a vital role for all metabolic functions. You need water for body temperature regulation, digestion, transportation and absorption of nutrients, circulation, lubrication for your joints, as well as your brain and spinal cord. It can also help control calorie intake, it do...esn't have a magical effect, but substituting water for a higher calorie beverage makes a big difference. Tips for staying hydrated: Use a clear water bottle so you can see how much you have drank Use a straw (reusable preferably) Set a timer, use an app like "Plant Nanny" to remind you to drink up Drink at least one water bottle after your workout and a cup during your meals Infuse water with fresh ingredients such as berries, citrus, mint or cucumber to change up the flavour naturally.

This was not an easy decision but we know it’s the right thing to do. Effective after the 9 am class Monday March 16, our studio will be CLOSED until further notice. We will be posting daily workout videos, at home challenges and other useful tips and tricks to keep your progress going during this difficult time.
