It's ridiculous to have 100+ friends and only 25 are allowed to see posts. I ignored this post earlier because I didnt think it worked. It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. Im seeing posts from people I havent seen in years. Heres how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed. Their new algorithm chooses... the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. So hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go to your page, start a new post, and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click "paste". This will bypass the system. If you are reading this message, do me a favor and leave me a quick comment...a "hello," a sticker, whatever you want, so you will appear in my newsfeedIt WORKS!! I dont know how many friends I have. My dad was the 1987 Grey Cups Most Valuable Canadian. The Edmonton Eskimos took the top prize in Canadian football, and my dad took the ring. Somewhere along a... tough road, that piece of his history was sold. The reminder of one of his biggest achievements ended up in someone elses hands. About 10 years later, a man named Walter won a bid at an auction in Ottawa. Drawn to the history and allure of a genuine Grey Cup Championship ring, he kept it mostly in a dark closet. While he wore it to the occasional sporting event, he always felt like it didnt belong to him. For 20 years, he wondered where its home was. In 2016, I got a message from a man whos name I didnt recognize. Asking me if I was Milson Jones son. This hasnt always had a positive intent attached, but I cautiously answered. Yes, I am. That message was from Walter. Who searched the internet until he found someone who might be Milsons son; me. Walter asked if we would like the ring back. It was art, he said, it belonged in the family. This ring is worth a great deal of money. Walter didnt ask for a penny. Out of the genuine goodness of his heart, he arranged for a colleague to meet me and give me the ring. It was a moment Ill never forget. And yesterday, a year and a half later, I finally got to meet the man who did an outrageously kind thing. And, to no surprise, he is an outrageously kind man. Thank you, Walter, for giving us a piece of our dads history that we thought was gone forever. This is a Hollywood movie script, no one does that in real life. Except Walter.
