Right down to the framed recipe of the first meal that she ever made for him! (It was meatloaf and he never looked back!) Form & Function Design Co. Good design for real life.

The toddler room to big kid room is almost complete! We're just waiting for some artwork for the other walls but the desk and shelving is done. Who says that Ikea stuff doesn't have personality? Every detail that went into this room was very carefully thought out to make it look good, to make it suit the kid who loves his room, and to make as much storage as possible so that this kiddo can grow into this very flexible space. I wasn't lying when I called it Form & Function Design Co.!

Happy weekend! It's spring break!!! Here's a sneak peek of a fun little project that I'll be working on while my kids are home bothering me all week! I've been planning this one for a while with a very particular six-year-old client. (Yes, he gets it from his mother!) This one has everything a boy's room should. Nothing makes me feel quite as optimistic about the week ahead as starting out with clean bathrooms... If only I had done laundry and gotten groceries...

This summer, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Leanne and Dean Cummings at Crescendo Music Studios in Sherwood Park. They weren't looking to do a big, expensive reno but wanted to update their lobby space to make it feel a little classier and more welcoming. Because the space isn't just a lobby but sometimes moonlights as a concert venue, we needed to make it fun and flexible too! Special shout out to Dean for not rolling his eyes too much while Leanne and I were constantly laughing and solving the world's problems! I had a blast!
