Form Function and Fitness with Maria Morano 08.06.2021

Clients of the last 2 weeks were: ME!!!! & Will S Yes ME, its been some time since I reached a meaningful fitness goal. I decided to ride 10,000km this year. I met that on Nov4 with the comradarie of the Tri City Cycling Club. Mike N from my cycling club inspired me when he reached this landmark last year. It resonated with me particularly when it was clear that I was not going to be prepared for racing. I enjoyed 98% of those 10,000km and still grin everytime I get on my b...ike. Not a bad outcome for a backup plan!!! Will S. can be pretty inspiring too. His recovery from a car accident was taking longer than he anticipated which impacted his quality of life. 12 sessions over 5 months of corrective exercises that supported a transition back to the activities that defined him. The last sessions addressed the gym routine HE used to do before his injury so that he can remain pain free and continually improve his overall strength and stability. He is anxious to be independent and to gain back what he lost over 2 years since his MVC. Consult with a professional to get these type of outcomes.. There is ALWAYS something to work on or work toward!

Client of the last 3 weeks are Stephanie S, Alex P and Scott R Stephanie was client of the week a few weeks ago. I celebrated her improvements in functional mobility whilst realizing relief from lower back pain. This week she continues to observing improvements, so satisfying to see her progress. Would love to see her on an individual basis in order to provide exercise specificity that is difficult to provide in a group setting. I am pleased that I can give her some tailored ...guidance in class and that has made such a positive outcome. Alex P was been attending personal training sessions for a month retesting this week demonstrated many improvements. I am so grateful to work with someone that is able to apply skills to complex movements so quickly. Scott R has been attending classes at Peak sporadically and personal training for 1 yr. He presented with a lifetime of significant injuries. His goal was to avoid injury, become stronger and fitter. Reflecting back over the year, we have done just that. Scott is reaping rewards in strength, fitness with a significant pain reduction in his shoulder, knee, and back. Looking forward to more gains in all 3 clients.

Client of the week is Will S Wow!!! I'm always amazed how effective corrective exercises are. Will has struggled from injury from a car accident. He has managed to delegate many tasks at his physically demanding job. He hasn't managed to engage in his active lifestyle without significant discomfort hat lingered for days and affected his ability to work. And physiotherapy benefits plateaued. ... 8 sessions of progressively demanding correctives and carefully selected strengthening exercises has bridged the gap! I am so impressed with the gym workout he completed without feeling vulnerable. We have 4 more sessions to educate his limitations in order for him to apply it to any program he decides to partake in the future

Client of the week is Jeannie P and Al D Both Clients have gained freedom and confidence to move from set backs that would prevent the average person from attempting anything. The benefit will enhance your lifestyle. Thats pretty cool! Don't wait for tests that take months to obtain. In my experience, most of the time the treatment after the diagnostic tests are the same if applied common sense during a well designed program. Either way, I encourage you to challenge yourself enough to feel an effect but not to feel vulnerable to injury. These are your boundaries, you will never know them unless you test them. Ignoring your boundaries will make your them bigger. Guidance through coaching, and a well designed program will enhance your lifestyle.
