Fort Sask Mixed Slo Pitch Association 10.06.2021

Fall Update First off, we would like to thank everyone for making this season successful and as safe as possible. We did not receive any complaints about people not abiding by the COVID regulations. We hope everyone had a great season and hope to be back to normal for next year. This year we are not doing a fall AGM with the state that COVID is in right now. Just a reminder that there are to be no sunflower seeds at the ball fields. No only does it create a mess, but also contributes to the spread of germs when spit out, which we are trying to prevent.

Ball starts tomorrow!! Yay! A few things to know... 1) Scoresheets - We have ordered scoresheets from SPN but have not received them yet. Fingers crossed we get them soon, until then you can print a scoresheet from our website. Be sure to check the ump shed before your game as that’s where the scoresheets will be when we get them. We will try to post when they arrive. ... 2) Balls - 4 big and 2 small balls will be kept in two bags at each diamond in the shale box with the board. Each team is responsible for getting a bag out and clipping it on the dugout fence near the on deck circle prior to each game. The set of balls alternate during the course of the game. It's the catchers responsibility to switch out big ball for small ball. It is the defensive team's responsibility to retrieve home runs balls as we are trying to limit contact between the two teams as much as possible. After the game, make sure that 4 big and 2 small balls go back into the bag in the box. Balls can be swapped out weekly if needed. Cleaning wipes will be provided. 3) Be safe and have fun!

The schedules were sent out to team captains earlier this week and can also be found in Team Snap. It is up to your team captain to add you to Team Snap, so if they haven’t make sure you ask about that as all schedule changes will be posted there. If you weren’t aware, we are starting on Monday!! Please make sure you get your league fees in ASAP. Also, remember that every player has to go to the SPN website and resubmit the waiver every year, so if you haven’t done this yet, please do.
