This past year has affected the lives of people around the globe. Our points of reference changed overnight and we were forced to modify instantly our habits and discover a new norm for work, school, and living. We learned social distancing, developed new home and work routines, implemented online Zoom and Team meetings. We repeatedly washed our hands, and people wore masks to protect themselves, family members, peers and strangers. But through this collective experience, we ...all discovered a new strength. We would like to show gratitude and give appreciation to the manufacturers and distributors who are triumphing over supply chain disruptions. From the safe day-to-day delivery of household essentials, through to the production of medical supplies in our time of need, manufacturers and distributors are playing a critical role in keeping economies around the world moving. On behalf of the Fort Saskatchewan Elks, we would like to extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one of you that has supported our Community during these trying times. Thank you for your diligence, sacrifice and determination during such an unprecedented event such as the one we are facing now. It is with a profound sense of loss, we share with you the following from the Members of Fort Saskatchewan Elks Lodge #399 The clock of their day has stopped . . . across its face, the motionless shadows mark the Hour of Eleven. It is with extreme sadness that we must inform you of the passing of past lodge member Brother Robert (Bob) Hurst, on March 9, 2021, at the age of 89 years old. Brother Bob was a past member of the Fort Saskatchewan Elks Lodge #399 and we will miss... him dearly. For his years of service and dedication to the Elks organization and our Association, he will always be remembered. We are BACK! With a few changes and adjustments we are happy to announce that we will be having our first meeting back this coming week! Our September meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:30pm at the UNIFOR local Hall 8302 113 St. Its going to be a jam packed meeting with our Installation of Officers as well as finishing up of some of our business that got put on hold while we were in quarantine. ... We are always looking for and new members and welcome members at any time. The Fort Saskatchewan Elks main goal is to help families in our community. Do you remember back in June this really big donation that went down to Red Deer by our Friend Al? Well, we finally have a total weight back from that donation.... 179lbs of Tabs and 30lbs of other metals donated! The funds received from the donation are all donated to the Alberta Elks Foundation Tabs for Tots program and would not be possible without the donations received from the Community of Fort Saskatchewan.... THANK YOU to everyone who continues to support this program, without you we could not continue to do this! If you have Tabs to donate, connect with us today! From Canadian Blood Services "Since our call for support on March 16, we have seen a notable increase in blood donations that have helped maintain the blood inventory in the short term, and we THANK donors for their generosity. But this effort is a marathon, not a sprint.... As blood products have a limited shelf life, the demand is constant - we urge donors to book appointments over the next few weeks to help maintain an adequate level of blood and blood products for patients in Canada." Brother Ron and Brother Al along with a few other dedicated members work tirelessly to ensure our most vulnerable community members are provided healthy and nutritious meals direct to their homes.... Through the meal deliveries, Meals on Wheels is able to connect with clients who often live in isolationand it works. This essential service assists clients with feeling more socially connected because of the volunteer visits and the #Volunteers always walk away with full hearts! Have you #Volunteered today?

Thanks for the shoutout Fort Saskatchewan Skateboarding Society, our members LOVE being able to give back to the amazing City of Fort Saskatchewan and all of its citizens! Have fun at the new park, you guys worked SO HARD to make this dream a reality!
