We would like to send our condolences to the Steckley family on the passing of Larry. Larry was a Meteor alumni who helped the Meteors win the 1978-79 Niagara D...istrict Championship and their most storied season. He was the father of Meteor alumni Kyle Steckley and a great supporter of the program. Linda, Kyle, Kailee and Kaitlyn you are in our every thought and our prayers R.I.P #7

Pro-Rated Refund Policy for Covid Related Delays or Cancellations The 2020/2021 program officially began on Sept 12/2020. The anticipated end of the program is the week ending on March 13/2021 In the event of a Provincial stoppage of play we will first look to possibly extend the program beyond March 13 and possibly into late April. No refunds will be issued until such a time that we officially cancel the remainder of the program. If the program is ultimately cancelled, re...funds will be issued by a pro-rated formula as follows: For beginners: $300 minus $15/week of completed programming For Pre-Novice: $500 minus $20/week of completed programming For All Other Divisions: $625 minus $30/week of completed programming *Notice*: Opting out of the 2020/2021 season on or before the October 15 deadline carries a pro-rated cost of $150. Any child opting out without paying will automatically have a $150 administrative fee added to their registration account moving forward to future seasons. Pro-rated refunds, if issued, could also be applied to the 2021/2022 registration fees. As of this writing, we anticipate that our in-house 3-on-3 program will begin the first week of November. Thank you, Greg Vamplew Treasurer

Hello Hockey Parents, To say that this past summer was a challenge would be a gross understatement. Your executive has worked tirelessly to stay ahead of the curve in the Niagara Region so that we could hit the ice running when the Province lifted the Covid restrictions. We are proud to have been among the first centers to host organized skates for our members. We are also proud to be among the first centers to have a return to play initiative that was ready to go as soon as ...the new season officially opened on September 1st. As of today, we have offered a great number of our kids who were registered with us last season as many as 16 hours of on-ice instruction and development, as well as 8-10 hours for our new registrants since the new season officially began. Hopefully by now most, if not all of you have read the 2020/2021 Season Update as posted on our main page by Rich Gillies, which outlines our plans for the next few months. As you may or may not know we have been hit hard with the financial stresses of losing most of our Bingo funding, as well as all of our Tournament income for the foreseeable future. As such, it becomes paramount that we all do our best to pay the modified registration fees as soon as possible so that we can make sure that the financial commitments that we have made to the Town of Fort Erie, True Stride Hockey, and local equipment and jersey suppliers are met on time and without disruption. The deadline has been set for October 15 for registration payments to be completed. Since we have already lost a number of kids whom decided to opt out of this season after attending the first few skates it becomes even more vital to the success of our plans that we get full commitment from everyone who plans to participate this season. Once the October 15 deadline is reached, we will be splitting the players into teams of 10 for 3-on-3 purposes. Only players whose registrations have been paid will be placed on teams. Players whose registrations have not been paid will be placed on a wait list until payment is made and we can find a spot for them to play. This is why it is crucial to the success of this season that everyone pays on or before the deadline. To help expedite this process, you can E-Transfer Registration payments to [email protected] Please remember to include the full name and division of the player (or players) that you are sending Payment for. For parents with multiple children remember to deduct $25 from the 2nd and 3rd child where applicable. Cash payments, as well as Credit Card payments, can still be made in the office. Office hours are posted on the main page. If you have applied for financial assistance and are waiting for a response, please let me know so that it can be recorded. If you have any questions or concerns I can always be reached at [email protected] Thank You, Greg Vamplew Treasurer
