When your out shoveling snow just think of that hydrate that’s on your property and take 5 minutes to keep it cleared in Winter, it makes the fire departments work a lot faster when we don’t need to shovel snow first . Thanks

If you are planning on having a camp fire within the hamlet of fort vermilion, Mackenzie county requires you to have your fire pit approved and need a permit . Please contact the deputy fire chief at (250)793-1360 if you need a permit. Thanks
Under the current fire ban, outdoor wood fires are prohibited in the Forest Protection Area, including: - above-ground fire pits with mesh sides - backyard fire... pits - barbeques with charcoal briquettes Propane and natural gas devices are allowed.
