Friday Night Curling coming in 2021. Fingers crossed will be open on January 11th as planned. The Club safely follows stringent COVID19 protocols. Masks are worn in the building except at the table to eat and drink and on the ice while curling. Clean shoes and warm, comfortable clothes are required. We have brooms and sliders. Shhh. While we curlers are resting up and charging our batteries during the holidays, so are our rocks! Ron Silver, Club president, and Ice guy took time to set up the rocks. In his words, the rocks need to breathe. So while we have time off from the rink, get out and enjoy our trails. Our thoughts are with our fellow curlers and everyone coping with rising numbers. This is the St. Vital Club in Winnipeg. While we remain lucky, we have to act like the virus is in our community. Follow club rules on the ice. Six feet apart and wait on the left side of the sheet (the side with boxes). Sanitize rocks ahead of play, one curler wipes rocks for both teams. Mask goes on when you head upstairs till you are at your table. Wash hands and sanitize. If you don't feel well, don't come to the club. We are in this together! #CurlFortFrances #FearTheMoose

Can you believe it Fort Frances Curlers? Today is the day! Our 20/21 Season opens today with our Day League at 10 and Ladies draw at 5:15. A lot of work by the President, Board of Directors, Curling Committee, Volunteers, Manager, and staff has been put in to get our season going safely. Head to https://curlfortfrances.com/leagues/ to find our Rules of Play and Draw for each league. The club will be open a half-hour ahead of the game. Tables are set and marked by sheet #. What a week and weekend and all thanks to our wonderful volunteers! Volunteers have been hard at work getting the ice surface prepped, flooded, painted, and set up so we are ready to curl a week from today.
