Sad post alert This is Ruby who usually visits our daycare and groomers here at bark. Ruby went for a walk in Rectory park a couple of days ago with her owner...s. As ruby is only a young puppy they often pick up bits and bobs in their mouths along the way. Unfortunately Ruby picked up an Acorn during her walk and ingested it. Later that night she fell ill and although the vets did everything possible to save her she sadly passed away. Ruby’s owners would like us to warn all of our customers and dog owners about how some types of Acorns are poisonous our dogs. This was a first for us at Bark as this isn’t common knowledge. Please keep an eye on what your pups are picking up in the park or even in your gardens.
