2021 veggie basket sign up is coming soon. If you were a subscriber in previous years you get first dibs so send me a text or message to secure your spot for 2021.

The summer is all about veggies but the fall and winter is our time to focus of protein! This year we raised a special mule footed breed of pigs and this beautiful pork is available soon at Huckleberries. At the farm we currently have small (2-3lb)frozen whole chickens available for purchase, just give me a shout and I can hook you up!

We could make a post about the terrible hail storm that hit our garden last night, instead we will tell you about 2 awesome things happening here at the farm. 1. We made a big leap this year and switched 100% away from single use plastic. Now all our packaging, both for retail and commercial sales, is reusable or compostable! 2. We have been partnering with Mulhurst Camp all summer and these incredible young people who were supposed to be wrangling a camp full of kids have been coming to the garden once a week to glean the garden for the food bank. We have worked together to take many hundreds of pounds of fresh garden produce to area food banks for redistribution to those in need. Thanks for supporting our little farm everyone and please be patient this week as we clean up the hail damaged crops and hope for recovery.

Wow week 5 of veggie baskets! It has been awhile since we gave and update. All is well on the farm just crazy wet and out of control weeds. Veggies are producing well, enjoy them at Huckleberries this weekend. Here are pics of this week.

We are all very pleased and humbled to accept this award from Leduc & Wetaskiwin Region Chambers of Commerce for Agriculture & Food Business of the Year for 2019!! A heartfelt thank you to all of our family, friends and helpers who have labored long in our patch of earth. Even greater thanks to our customers for sticking with us through hail, flood, and drought. And greatest thanks to God, giving us a place from which we can share His blessings.

So excited to starting big harvests! Herbs, lettuces, bok choy, rhubarb...yummy! Head to Huckleberries for supper tonight, I was up with the sun picking fresh stuff which I just dropped off

There is a high probability of a heavy frost tonight so if you have delicate plants out be sure to give them some love and a blanket. Dont cover with plastic, it will hold frost in instead of protect. Use sheets or towels or straw or if you can run a light sprinkler over night. Best of luck!

Hey Wetaskiwin our weekly vegetable box delivery is selling fast. Please contact us if you are interested in having a big box of garden produce delivered to you each week this summer. Boxes are $40, delivered Thursday mornings beginning end of June. Weekly or bi-weekly options. Payment arrangements can be whole season or week by week.
