Update on Day Camp 4 starting next Monday August 17 to Friday August 21. Check in will begin on Monday at the main entrance of the arena at 9:00 to complete the screening form, have temperature taken and take an FHD jersey for the week. ** day camp 4 will use the green (rear foyer) entrance and exit for the week, please see the attached map** Please come ready in dryland/gym attire every day for camp. Our Day Camp 4 will have afternoon ice times and will complete dryland tra...ining, stretching, mental performance during the morning sessions. Under special circumstances and considerations from JRC and the City of Fort Saskatchewan we have been given an area for full equipment bags and to change INTO hockey gear. It was strongly recommended and required by the task force team and City that our players only change ONCE, therefore our ice times for day camp are as follows. **Our Female players will have a separate area for changing. The first ice time will be from 12-1:00pm followed by a 30 minute break/snack. The second ice time will be from 1:30-2:30pm. Parents will pick up their player at 2:30pm. After the last ice session, we ask that players leave in their equipment to comply with the City of Fort Saskatchewan’s request of only changing ONCE at the JRC. Due to AHS protocols on day camps, field trips such as swimming and activities that require transportation are no longer permitted. For the morning portion of camp, as mentioned above, we have outdoor games/activities planned along with stretching, dry land, skills training and mental performance. We plan on doing as much as we can outdoors due to the new mask bylaw. Please ensure your player is equipped and prepared for the weather (sunscreen, hat, bug spray, water) In the event that the weather prevents us from being outdoors, the City and JRC is providing us a space to use inside. Please ensure your child is equipped with a mask as masks are mandatory over the age of 9 inside the JRC. Please refer to the other email last week from the City regarding masks. Reminder** please bring nut free and nut oil free snacks/lunch as we do have some players with allergies. *please note, Friday August 21st is only an hour long scrimmage game from 12:00-1:00pm** Check in/pre screening 30 mins before. Great first week with our Midget/Junior/Pro prep camp #9 Elite group. A lot of refined skill and edge work with a high pace and finished off with some game like situations. Players in attendance representing leagues such as DEL2, ECHL, AHL, WHL, AJHL, U-Sports, NCAA D1, NCAA D3, RAC M15AAA & RAC Major Midget AAA graduates and hopefuls, RAC Bantam AAA Alum. Hello everyone, A quick update for our DOW camps over the upcoming weeks. We have just been informed that the city is going to allow us to do all check ins and registrations out of the east side arena door for the remainder of our camps. All dressing room/gear prep area guidelines will continue to be enforced and followed based on the cities colour coordinated ice prep zones. ... Thank you for your cooperation ! FHD team
