Introducing Romeo Shagba, our first featured artist on our gallery wall! Romeo Shagba is a visual artist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Spending a majority of his life in Malaysia, the Nigerian artist found himself experiencing constant dissonance; wanting to participate and engage yet, recognizing an inherent separation between himself and the environment. Seeking understanding and solace through art, Romeo uniquely embraced the discord, visualizing ways th...e space around him may embody the solitude of his experiences. He bases his work on the premise that it is constantly becoming, unfolding and making itself known. His characters -often alone in expansive, abstract environments- are extensions of himself and his perceptions of the world. Through themes of solitude and escapism, Shagba transports viewers to fantastic, tender spaces. Romeo's art will be up for sale on our walls for the next couple of months and we'd love if you came down to check it out!

We are SO excited to carry @ethicaroasters as our guest roaster for the next little while! We are selling bags of their whole bag coffee as well as offering their Burundi on our V60 menu! Come in and grab yourself a bag while we still have them!

Wow! We would like to welcome @romeoshagba as our feature artist in the rotating gallery! We are overwhelmed with gratitude to receive all of your submissions and want to thank all who participated and reached out to share themselves with us. We wish we had more walls! Our next submission period will be in a couple months. Those who have submitted will be kept on file, however are free to submit again during our next open call if they’d like. Until then, keep creating and come down to see @romeoshagba ’s work in the next week or so when it is finally up!

Exciting news alert! Introducing, Forth Cafe Co-working pods! Monday, September 21 we will be re opening the back cafe as a reserved work space. As many of us find ourselves working, studying and occupying more time at home, Forth would like to offer a safe and cozy alternative for you. How the pods work: We have 7 co working pods with seating ranging from 1-7 people. To reserve, click the link in bio, choose a table and indicate the number of people in your reservation. We c...harge a flat fee of $15 per pod which includes seating for one person, every additional individual in your reservation is $5 per person (ex. 3 people = $25). Each reserved seat comes with a complimentary Americano or tea. Reservations time slots are 8am-12pm and 12pm-4pm. As our hours begin to expand, these times slots will change. In compliance with COVID safety measures, we hope to create a safe, social-distanced space for folx to sit down, get some work done, have a meeting or read a book! See you soon :)
