As a professional musician who has been in the industry for over 35 years, many of my stu...dents have gone onto fields from engineering, medicine, law, and teaching. Many have been kind enough to contact me years later only to say how much their music studies meant to them and how those "musical skills" have contributed to their development as a professional in their field. I was an administrator at a post-secondary institution for 6 of my 26 years teaching at the college and university level; I know how challenging budgets can be. But the constant attacks on the arts by administrators is not leadership, and worse, these decisions are short-sighted. Music is an expensive program to run, no doubt about it. Well, this is really interesting... I was not aware that there was another version of Francisco Tárrega's "Lágrima." In this version, there is a "middle" section that is played after the first section. After the "middle' section is repeated, the first section is repeated and then the last section is performed and the typical D.C. ...
