The Downtown Business Council plans to hold a Canada Day Parade this year. But it will have to be a little different in order to keep everyone safe from COVID. We are therefore making it a "reverse" parade. Rather than standing on the street and watching the floats go by, we're parking the floats on the street while you drive by!!! Everyone will have to stay in their vehicle, and pedestrians will not be allowed while the parade takes place. Parade route will be on 100 Avenue..., and it will start at 11 a.m. Canada Day, July 1. Catch the Santa Train Sunday, Dec. 13, starting at 11 a.m. These maps show the order of the neighbourhoods Santa will visit. Remember to wait on your own driveway for Santa to pass. Please keep a safe social distance and don't meet with others. Santa won't be stopping or slowing down, but this is your chance to wave as he goes by. Merry Christmas! Just a reminder that the Community-Wide Garage Sale takes place Saturday, Sept. 19. We can't hold it on the street this time, but everyone is invited to hold their own sale at home that day. The Downtown Business Council will be printing a map of every sale in town. That map will be available on the day of the sale at downtown businesses.
