Having the same attitude of humitly as Jesus, dying to self, giving up our rights - it's all in the covenant - step 4 and 5 to be precise. He gave up His rights so that we could be blessed. We can't be as humble as Jesus because we're not even a little tiny bit close to being as great as He is; but we're supposed to try and have the same attitude. That might have impact on how we're living in this age of weird restrictions. Am I focused on what I think are my rights, or am I focused on giving my life to the Lord and to others?

Nov 8 Talk. We are free from the fear of death and from the burden of fighting with people because of step three of the covenant with Jesus.

Have you ever pinched your nose and said. "Lord, give me strength."? Some days we say that in exasperation, and some in genuine need. The great news is that God giving us strength is all part of the salvation covenant. Here's a look at step two of our covenant with Jesus.

What does God's covenant with Abraham have to do with our relationship with Jesus? I'm going to explore that idea in the next few weeks. There were ten steps to making a covenant back in the olden days, and each step paints a picture of what God will do for us when we come to Him. Today I'm looking at the first step - the exchange of robes.
