People always ask me "what #Farmers do in the spring"? Today we are maintaining a drainage ditch that drains water from mom's farm and from the two neighbour's land. The water was flowing the wrong way. It should flow downstream and not up. Without good drainage it takes our farmland longer to dry out and we would have a shorter growing season. We always try to hire Canadians first but it's hard since our positions are sessional (spring, summer and fall). We can't grow very much during our long cold winters. We are looking for sales associates to help sell our produce starting mid June until early September (labour day weekend). A few of our stands are open longer, last season two of our stands sold to the end of October.
