Wow these two are on a roll! After qualifying to the Canadian National Speech Championships recently, we are happy to announce that Jena Yue and Angela Lu have done it again. After competing against BC's top debaters they have won their chance to try for the Canadian National Debate Team next year. We wish them the best of luck!

Congratulations to Isabella Park, Ivy Ye, Matthew Yu, Jerry Song, and Jason Song for winning the Champion Team award at the NSDA Springboard Middle School Debate Tournament! They were undefeated against some of the top middle school teams from across the US. Read the full results on our website!

Congratulations to Isabella Park and Emily Ni for finishing Upper Canada College's Pro-Am Tournament as Gold Finalists earlier this month! The tournament featured over 130 teams from across Canada and was incredibly competitive. Read the rest on FDT's website!

Last month FDT showed up in full force at the annual UBC Fall Debate Tournament. We have some great results to announce from the tournament! Congratulations to Darren Yang, Angela Lu, Alex Logan, Annie Lu, Jonathan Chu, and Koby Chen for reaching the finals in the senior category. After placing 5th at the International Independent Schools Public Speaking Championships Emily Ni has been selected to represent Canada at Worlds as part of the national speech team. There are so many other notable results from the tournament you can read about on FDT's website!

As we head into the busy Fall debate season we are proud to announce the October students of month! These special students are being recognized for going above and beyond in their dedication in the classroom as well as for their many achievements.
