Happy Monday!! I hope everyone is staying warm and cozy! Last Friday I reflected on a few adventures I got to experience in 2020 but I saved one of the best adventures to share with you today!! WooHoo!! We made it!! It’s Friday Baby!! As the snow falls outside (again) I thought it would be a perfect day for me to say Hi, How are you? I looked back over my feed and realized I haven’t shown my actual face on here in about year!! I know it is crazy to hear but I don’t really like getting my picture taken. My happy place is behind the camera!... What a year it has been! I miss hugging people and celebrating milestones together without being 6 ft apart! As I reflect on the last year I do see some good things! Last year my #porchraits raised over $3000 for the @chestermere_food_bank and I met some incredible people in my community that I may not have met had it not been for being locked down. It definitely was amazing to connect with people and hear their stories. I am also very proud of my #smallbusinessstories which showcased local small businesses and how the closures impacted them. All our local businesses have had to pivot and adapt. I think they have done it with grit and grace. How about you? I have been busy behind the camera the last few weeks! I am excited for new adventures in 2021. I am going to endeavour to keep you up to date better! I continue to have hope that we will come out the other side of this pandemic stronger. Who wants some yummy treats for Valentine’s Day?!

It takes time for people to relax in front of the camera but when they do the magic happens and you can see into their soul. If you have a minute I would like to tell you a story! I haven’t known this beautiful woman in the photos for very long but I can tell you from the moment I met her I liked her! She is funny and quirky but first and foremost she is real and authentic. She lives her truth daily and she doesn’t hide her struggles. By sharing her life she helps and i...nspires others. Her smile lights up a room but she doesn’t necessarily believe it. I was honoured to have her in the studio (following all necessary precautions) and I hope the images that I captured help to remind her she is beautiful and strong inside and out!
