We are so delighted to be working with the local leaders from "Le Jardin de l'Espoir" and reach the poorest of the poor - drug addicts, street people, and bring a message of HOPE! https://fr.thefarmhouse.store Are you interested in helping out? We have a student intern program that could lead to travelling the world and training in other nations! Contact me personally.

Really enjoying our first online training experience with Foundation For Farming Canada

Note to family and friends of "the farm." If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and do not come to the farm. Call me in advance if you want to visit b...riefly. We would ask you to stay in your car. Please follow safe practice when at the farm: - We are upholding the Government's 2 person limit when visiting the market garden at 2455 College. - Maintaining a safe distance (2 metres) from current tenants, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue if you cough or sneeze, and discard used tissues in a bin. - Wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds. An outdoor sink will soon be on site. - Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. We are planning to try and plant as many beds as possible for local food production. Let me know if you are interested in "buying" locally this summer? Serge and Stephen are hard at work preparing for this year's crop. If you'd like to actively participate, we will be doing some online training on how to plant a small garden. Drop by the farm and pick up some seedlings! Call me in advance please. Take good care and stay safe. Appelez-moi d’avance. Prenez bien soin de rester en sécurité.

Thanks to Serge Lauzon, we have seedlings ready to be adopted and given life! Contact Serge if you'd like a plant delivered to your doorstep. We'll help you with taking the small plant to planning and planting your own small garden.

Despite blue cloudless skies, searing heat and a sapping sun day after day for nearly 4 weeks, this Foundations for Farming Crop that we are growing for ZERO do...llars in Chegutu is still somehow hanging in. This picture, taken today, is of a crop on sandveld with no fertilizer cost (only compost and a legume rotation); no seed cost (we use open Pollinated maize kept from one year to the next); no irrigation cost; (we use mulch); no ploughing cost (we use zero tillage); and no chemical cost. So this crop has zero dollar inputs. It goes to show what could be done in this country if only people would emulate the Godly Foundations for Farming EET with Joy principles (Excellence; Efficiency and Timeousness). Imagine those Godly EET with Joy principles being roled out over the whole country in all businesses and government departments. The harvest would be wonderful. Instead we settle for the opposite. We do not pursue excellence. We are massively inefficient and wasteful in the use of our resources to the point of becoming a world leader in corrupt practices. And time means nothing to many people. Nothing is done on time. And Joy? How can there be joy when we do not do the EET part. Is it any wonder that Zimbabwe is hungry - and getting hungrier? See more
