Summer hasn't even started & scrambling already. Got phone call at 7:30pm for our Medic & ETV to cover a Hydro Crew down at Manning Park tonight. Well, I'm getting primed up for a busy summer.

staff at store hear the 10 Mile Slide Project will probably be completed in September, 2021. That's not too far away 5 months. Be great having this section of Hwy. fixed. The CN no longer use the rail track above the hwy. so this should add to the stabilization of 10 Mile into the future.

Future of our railline through Lillooet? It's been over a year since I last heard a freight train go by Fountain. Notice most of the rail equipment at the Lillooet Yard has been taken away. Kind of suspected that the rail line would eventually be de-commissioned for our area. Like any business, the rail lines have to see a substantial profit to continue to operate. The rail line through Lillooet has for years operated at a deficit, with increasing maintenance costs, freight cars been routed to other main rail line arterials etc. Miss the sound of the freight trains.... but I guess that's how businesses have to operate.... if they're not making any money, shut operations down.

A Stl'atl'imc Member sent me this photo of river taken this morning....... I'm very worried as the river looks too low for this time of year....... hope there hasn't been another rock slide into the river again..... our salmon stocks will be decimated again.

It's come to our attention that there are a few irresponsible people that choose to disregard Covid19 regulation guidelines. There has been several customers who, we know should be in "self isolation" for 14 days..... who have come into the store today. Lillooet is a small community & everyone knows who is infected & knows their extended familys who they may have been in contact with. We will be refusing to serve people who come into store, who we know should be in "self isolation". If staff are given a hard time the police will be called & the person will be charged under the B.C. Health Act Regs.

Yes.........., seems our luck has finally ran out. A community in close proximity to Fountain has a confirmed case of Covid 19. I would respectfully ask that anyone in contact with a confirmed carrier of Covid 19, respect our B.C. Guidelines & quarantine themselves for 14 days. The Trading Post is an essential service to our local community, & it is our primary objective to protect our staff & customers. The Trading Post may change our opening & closing times. We would also like to commend the Stl'atl'imc Member who went public & let our people know that they were infected with Covid 19. This is what it's all about "looking after one another" by keeping everyone dully informed.

A reminder Trading Post is open today from 12:00PM - 6:00PM for those last-minute purchases needed to complete the Christmas Dinner. Merry Christmas everyone.
