You guys asked for it so I brought back the galaxy glaze! I forgot how much work it is but the results make it worth it. Each tumbler is glazed by brush with 12 different glazes. These tumblers will be available soon at @shopaggregate. For my out of town friends send me a DM if you would like to preorder one from my next batch.

Unloading a glaze firing is always exciting and a bit scary. In pottery there is an uncertainty and vulnerability leaving the final outcome up to the fire... the results can be so unpredictable! I have been both ecstatic and heartbroken about pieces that were in the same firing. It would be easier to just stick with a few trustworthy glazes but experimenting is my favourite thing to do. These striped mugs are something I have worked off and on with for the past couple of years. After lots of trial and error I am finally really happy with the result. It took several major failures to get here but I love a good challenge.

Incorporating coloured clay into wheelthrown pieces is my favourite! I had taken a break from making these for awhile as it’s very time consuming and messy to make the coloured clay but it’s sooo worth it. I’m really happy with how they turned out.

You asked and I listened! This Wednesday at 8pm my website will be accepting orders for a very limited number of custom decal mugs. The mugs will be completed just before Christmas so local pickup in Windsor only please. More details to follow!

Making mugs all day is not easy.... everything hurts (!!) but it feels pretty great to have such a productive day.

Just a quick message! I am not Amazon or any other big box store... Four Eleven Pottery is just me.....Lindsay! The pandemic has caused me to have to make some huge changes in how I work. I never thought I would be a production potter but here I am buried in a mountain of mugs! Currently I am working almost exclusively in wholesale which means I haven’t been able to do one of a kind or custom work for the holidays like I have in past years. Pottery is a slow process and I hav...e to meticulously plan my weeks work in order to keep things moving through each step. I know it seems like it would be easy to just add another mug in but sadly it’s not. I hate having to turn down work but at the same time I am thrilled at the amount of support I have received from my customers and wholesale partners this year. I love you guys! Being a potter is my full time job....I love it and I’m doing the best I can and learning along the way. Thank you guys for your patience during this crazy time. Huge beer stein for #mugshotmonday !

I’m still here!!! I have been soooo busy with wholesale orders so haven’t had any new work to share. Here is an old favourite of mine.... a soda fired porcelain mason jar which I now use as a vase. I love the toastiness!

This custom squished planter was the most fun I have had on my pottery wheel in awhile. It was fun while it lasted but now back to MUGS.....sooooooo many mugs!

I missed #mugshotmonday because I never know what day it is anymore. One of my favourite recent mugs I made for @lakelifestudio.... also granite clay is everything to me at the moment!
