It has always been a dream of mine to write novels, poetry, stories, essays and more. In order to fulfill this dream, I decided to enroll in University at a later age than most would consider. Because of my drive to dream, I am now in possession of a double major B.A. English & Sociolog...y. I have often been teased for my passion surrounding words, I am always the one to produce a fifth or sixth draft, present research ideas to professors, edit the papers of my peers for the sheer enjoyment of reading, or request additional work just to hone my research and writing skills. Prior to my return to school, and my pursuit of the rush of a good story, I was a Credit Manager dealing in personal loan and mortgage lending. In this position I have 5 years of contract writing and review experience, which allows me to still use my words, while working with money. Additionally, I spent 5 years as a Sales Executive who wore many hats (Sales/Service Manager/Marketing Director/ Web & Print Editor), in charge of laying out and editing our company advertisements, websites, contracts, RFP's and marketing materials. This has given me extensive experiencing in professional copy and web editing, which goes hand in hand with my newly completed English Degree. If I have one passion other than books, it is travelling. I love the experience of immersing myself in new places, learning the cultures, customs and languages. A travel blog would be an ideal addition to my repertoire, and I will soon be launching one. I look forward to exploring new words and activities with new companies and people, as I humbly embark on this adventure as a professional writer.
