Welcome to Frogs 72 hour Elfing Birthday Challenge! Seeing as we are in the middle of a global pandemic and semi lockdown, I thought I still wanted to celebrate but in a safe way. Well this year I am inviting and challenging y’all to go out and perform an Elfing! What is an Elfing you might ask? An Elfing is when you secretly do something helpful and kind for someone without them knowing. We started this tradition in Four Nations popular kids Earth Culture Class and thought w...hat better way to share some much needed joy in our current world situation. If you are new to Elfing, I’ve outlined the steps to preforming a successful Elfing: 1. Identify target 2. Conspire Elfing plan- what does this target need help with or will bring a smile on their face? 3. Put on an Elfing hat (can be any hat that will disguise youa bit like clark kent and superman, glasses or a hat go a long way 4. Without being seen (Covidly safe), commit said helpful Elfing 5. Take a photo of yourself in the Elfing act 6. Post your Elfing photo and explain your Elfing on this post Examples of Elfing: stacking someone’s fire wood, leaving a card on their door step, leave flowers in their mailbox, decorate someone’s tree in their front yard with Christmas decorations. This is a 72 hour Elfing Birthday Challenge starting NOW and going until midnight of December the 14th. Thanks for helping me celebrate my Elfing birthday. Elf off!

It is once again time to light the sacred fires, to bring light into our darkest night. Tomorrow we welcome the rerturn of the sun and we invite you all to join us! Light a fire, or a candle, and send out a prayer of hope and joy for a new dawn. We may not be gathering in body this year, however our spirits and hearts know no bounds so we are together. We are one! My theme song for this solstice is one voice by the Wailin’ Jenny’s. Play this song and light it up at 3:52 pm then look to the heavens to see the Christmas star! https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/night/canada/nelson Post your favourite song for this solstice below- let’s make a collective playlist!!

Our headwaters are under attack. Our way of life is at risk. Coastal Gaslink is weeks away from test drilling beneath Wedzin Kwa - the river that feeds all of W...et'suwet'en territory and gives life to our nation. We continue to reoccupy our territories - to prepare our foods, to hold our ceremonies, to teach our children what it means to be Wet'suwet'en. We have to protect ourselves. We have to protect what we have at all costs. We need your support now more than ever. A message from Sleydo, Molly Wickham, spokesperson for the Gidimt'en Checkpoint.
