please share this to advocate for the release of Lucy. What Edmonton is doing is despicable. Lucy deserves to live the rest of her life in a herd, that is the only responsible solution.

So, it has been almost 5 years since my dog Zoe passed away from cancer. The lump came up quickly( within a week), and the diagnosis was in. She went in for surgery, and within a week had to be put to sleep as a result of the shoddy surgery she received from a local vet clinic. She ensured me she had experience in this matter. I ended up rushing her to Fairfield vet Clinic in Kelowna where my worst fears were acknowledged. They couldnt understand why the procedure was done th...at way. So now I wonder if I shouldnt have done the surgery and just enjoyed her for the remaining months she would have lived. To give a dog Arnica for pain after major surgery is ludicrous to me. I had to fight to get her to give me tramadol. I was devasted and in shock with her lack of compassion for my animal in pain. So now I am hoping to let others know that perhaps surgery is not the best option unless you really know your vet is capable of performing the surgery. we lost a valued, loved member of our family. She was a wonderful, goofy dog who is still missed. She most likely could have survived and had a better quality of life in her last months living with the tumor. The agony the surgery inflicted was not the way I wanted her last days to be. For that I can never advocate anyone take their dog to this holistic vet unless it is some minor issue. Anything that requires real life skills and a steady scalpel should go to Fairffield. See more

so the new year is upon us and what better place to be a dog than Whistler! There are many senior dogs here I see on a daily basis that are far more healthy than their city counterparts. It warms my heart to see this. Arthritis still seems to be a major symptom for both. There are many naural remedies to try for your beloved family member. Alfalfa is a great rmedy. It is easy to give, inexpensive, and most of all, non toxic!! Just remeber to start slow and begin with a low ...dosage. One can add it to their food easily and often they will chew the tablets as a treat. Dogs have an inherent knowledge of when they need something vital to teir health and wellbeing. i have seen this time and time again. Massage and Bowen are great therapies to complement natural remedies. Your family pet will live longer, have an improved gait, and be happier bcause of it. Happy new year! Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information or a consultation. See more

So over the past month I have been treating a wonderful canine with Bowen therapy. His vet thinks it is a tight ligament in his right hind leg. He has been limping for some time and now that winter is approaching it seems to be affecting him more. With bowen therapy every fourth day he is making remarkable recovery. He has stopped limping the next day and his owner remarked that he seems happier, smiling and playful. He is able to put full weight on his leg and his hips are becoming even with every treatment. The body is an amazing adaptive and knows just what to do with a little guidance. Who knows if he will ever be 100%, however I am confident we will get there!

So question of the day, do you buy your pet a Christmas present? If yes, to what extent?
