It is with mixed emotions I locked up the studio for the last time today as Tracy and I are retiring from school and sports photography. We have a had a wonderful time working with many awseome people and will miss them. Specially Julie, Sandy and Carmen from our office who have helped make Fowle Foto and Proline a success. After being a photographer for 43 years it is time for a break. Tracy and I will be pursuing our hobbies and other interests and we hope to travel again s...oon. Edit: I forgot to include Ranelle above. Ranelle you were an integgral part of our success. Thanks! We have sold the business to Eric and Dawn Arksey from Vibrant Photos. We chose them because their ethics and business philosophy are in line with ours. Their customer experience, service and quality of photography are exceptional. Julie and Sandy are staying on with them and Tracy and I will be consulting as needed so you can be sure the transfer will run smoothly. We will still be doing the Santa photos at ValleyFair Mall. Our special connection with Santa makes it hard to leave. I believe this will be our 18th or 19th year with Santa and we are fortunate to have him still coming to Maple Ridge. The faces of the kids as they talk to Santa is what keeps us going through the years. Stay tuned for more Santa info as we get closer to Christmas. I thank everyone who we have had the good fortune of working with over the years. Thank you for your trust, loyalty and business. Stay Safe. Bill and Tracy
Offering some of our santa frames and ornaments. Let us know if you would like anything.
Sad to say, Fraser Health says NO SANTA at Valley Fair Mall or any other mall, this year!
Good afternoon everyone, Although we had created a very safe Santa Photo experience for our customers, we (and all Shopping Centre's) have been directed by the ...Fraser Health Authority to cancel our Photos with Santa, due to the latest provincial health orders regarding indoor holiday activities. Although we understand the very important goal of these orders, we are sorry to have to disappoint those of you who had booked a visit with us. If you have already booked your appointment with us, your reservation fee will be refunded to the credit card used to book the appointment. Please allow up to 14 days for the refund to appear on your credit card account, as this is dependent upon the financial institution that manages the card. No further action is required on your part. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these changes and work together for the safety of our community. We wish you and your family a safe and peaceful holiday season.
Online booking for Santa opened at midnight this morning for next Saturday, all visits booked up in 2 minutes. All we can say is make sure you are ready, account info all set. Many are vying for the same appointment time, first one gets it.
Sneak peak of Santa's workshop at Valley Fair Mall.
For anyone who read the article in the local newspaper about Santa's arrival at Valley Fair Mall this month. There is an error in the info provided. The online booking will not open BEFORE Nov 21st!!!
Inquiring minds want to know.... Is santa coming to Valley Fair Mall this year? The answer is, we hope so. Anticipated arrival date is Saturday Nov 28th. Due to pandemic protocols, things have to be different. Some of the most important changes will be limiting the amount of children per visit to 4. To keep santa safe and healthy there will be no sitting on santas lap. We will not be able to offer videos of visits this year. All visits will have to be booked online. Online booking opens 1 week ahead with a new day opening everyday. Watch Valley Fair mall for updates. Stay safe everyone.

I dontated another 130 face shield frames last week. I have reached out to the distributer to see if more are needed before I print some more.
Another donation of 100 face shield frames went out to the distributor today. Thanks Tracy for doing the delivery.
We just dropped off 150 face shield frames at the distributor who will send them out to the hospitals. Thanks again for all the donations and support!
Just delivered about 50 photo buttons to the Surrey Memorial Pediatric Emergency Department. They were very pleased.
I was able to order some more filament from donations kindly made by Les Giles, Linda Morgan and Ann Marie Orser. Thanks for helping to support our front line workers!
Supplies finally arrived so we were able to deliver 360 face shields to a couple of non profits.
The rest of our supplies arrived so now we can get to work comleting and delivering the 350 we have been stockpiling.
We donated about 50 photo buttons to the pediatric ward nurses at Surrey Memorial. The buttons were photos of the nurses without their masks so the kids coukd see what they look like. Hopefully it will put a face behind the PPE and it won't be so scary for the kids. Sorry I forgot to take a photo.
Tracy donated 60 scrub caps and a bunch of ear savers to the hospitals today. She also took 70 of my face shield frames over to Chris so he can add the visors and elastics. These are headed to the Downtown East Side Rapid Response. https://dtesresponse.ca/
Thanks to some donations I have been able to order more filament. It is in big dedmand right now so it was hard to get. But I am all set again for a while. Thanks to the donors!
We donated some face shields to the Downtown East Side Womans Shelter. http://dewc.ca
Tracy delivered a bunch of scrub caps and masks for distribution to the hospitals.
Way to go! The Maple Ridge Fire Department got some of them today.
Just delivered 30 face shields to Steve at Bethesda Christian Association which runs homes for the disabled.
Thank You Ann Marie Orser for you generous donation. We will be able to make about 100 face shields for the front line workers. Thank You!
I have hooked up with a few local people to be able to make more of a difference. Chris Patch and his family are getting orders from non profits, printing the frames, cutting the shields and elastic. Damon Siebert and Cam Tardi are helping 3D print the frames. And Sandra Rankine from our studio is helping with deliveries. As a group we delivered over 100 face shields last week. Two of them are pictured. Way to go Gang!
Donated some face shields to non profits that run soup kitchens, womans shelters and old folks homes. Printing non stop 24/7. Demand far exceeds the supply!
Ridge Meadows Hospital has asked for 50 ear savers (surgical mask straps). They allow users to put the mask straps to this clip instead of around their ears. They are wearing masks so often now it is bothering their ears. Printing them as we speak.
Tracy has been making masks for Meals on Wheels and Caps for the front line workers.
While we are at home I have been using my 3D printer to make Face Shield frames. I pass them on to another person who adds the shield and elastic parts and then they go to some of the hospitals in the lower mainland including VGH, St. Pauls, Lions Gate, Surrey Memorial and Richmond. Doing what I can to help.

Price List For Santa 2018
It appears the Santa Online Booking system is now working. I apologize for the inconvenience and frustration it may have caused. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Trying to book an appointment with Santa? We are very sorry but it appears there was an issue with the system. So far no one has been able to get an appointment. Sorry to all those who stayed up late last night. We will be working on resolving the issue, please stand by. Note.... it probably won't be until this evening.
Opening up the studio for 2 days, November 6 & 7. Call now to book your appointment.
We had some scenes from a movie shot in our studio and it is airing today at 4pm on Bravo. It is called Garage Sale Mysteries - A Picture Of Murder. Most of the gear they show in the studio is mine as the equipment they brought looked not too professional. Hope you enjoy the show.
Exciting day here at the studio today. A Hallmark movie 'Garage Sale Mystery: A Picture Of Murder' is being shot in our studio and reception area. Things have sure changed since I took film at Ryerson.
I posted this yesterday in the wrong spot. So here it goes again, hopefully in the correct place. You may have noticed by our new profile photo that our staff has increased. Julie and I are happy that Sarah and Tracy have joined us. I call them all Bill's Angels. Sarah will be looking after our schools and Tracy will be working with our sports and accounting. A big welcome to both!
Our new trader card printer has arrived. It gets installed next week. It will allow us to produce thicker, stiffer trader cards, just like the real thing! It's almost as exciting as Christmas. Just needs a bow.
Remember less then half our available visits with santa are booked online. Online booking is challenging because their are so few available each day. Please don't be discouraged, you can still walk in. As usual the online booking is not perfect and this year is no different. Unfortunately the service wasn't working this morning when some of you tired to book for next saturday. We are sorry for your troubles and happy to report it is working now. See you all at Santa!!!
Already getting calls and emails. YES we will be back at Valley Fair Mall taking Santa photos. Santa arrives Nov 25th. Online booking available no more then a week ahead. More then half of the available visits are strictly walk in visits and the first week or so is usually our quietest time.
Check out this meet way to sharpen your photos. Haven't tried it but it looks cool.
