As we head into October watch out for the Bears that like to visit Foxbridge during the fall season! If you see one around the course, please let us know!

Foxbridge has came a long way over the years with many changes and adjustments made as Uxbridge has expanded over the years. Here is a brief look at our history! Did you know that? : Foxbridge was originally 2 separate golf courses? Foxwood Golf Club and Uxbridge Golf Club? Over 20 years ago the two 9 hole courses were formed into what we know today as the 18 hole Foxbridge. But we have kept the uniqueness of our course for many years in that we have TWO Hole 1’s. The two di...fferent Hole 1’s are separated by part of the Uxbridge Trail which also acts as our Cart Path! In the beginning in 1958, the Kydd family created the golf course and it was a community treasure. It started only as a few holes and grew as the community displayed their love for golf at that time. The greens were entirely sand and you actually had to rake your line so that you could have a smooth look at the hole. A key part of the maintenance crew was actually Sheep. The fairways were fenced in with wire fence, so that the Sheep could be corralled into the fairway to keep the grass at optimum height. How cool is that!

Hole 1 - Par 4 - 309 Yards The 1st Hole at Foxbridge is a great test to start the round. A tough tee shot that must avoid the left trees or the big pond which is full of golf balls. The crucial tee shot needs to put the golfer in good position for the approach into this right left, front back sloping green. Once you’re on the green, the fun isn’t over yet as the green is the toughest aspect of this hole. ... Hole 1 is the Number 1 Handicap (Hardest Hole) at Foxbridge. A par is always a good score.

If you have been to Foxbridge anytime from 2004 - present, you have probably come across Bill. In Year 16, Bill continues to treat Foxbridge like his home. From firing up enough Hot-Dogs to feed a summer camp, to fixing ball-marks in the mornings, and making sure everyone stays on the cart-path on our Par-3 9th (he will get ya), Bill is always around to lend a hand or tell a joke. Thanks for all your work over the years Bill!
