Welcome to the Foxfield T.R.C. herd, Marty! Today we officially welcomed Mr. Marty to our therapeutic riding school. He’s been in training since he came to us in November and is finally ready to take the leap into his role as The Big Boy in our therapeutic riding program. Marty is slow and steady, shy but easily becomes your best friend with a treat or two. He is currently the tallest therapy horse in our program standing proud at 16 hands. His height makes him a great add...ition as some of our taller riders require a taller horse to be comfortable riding. Marty still has a long road of learning and growing into a therapy horse, but today he officially passed his test. Welcome, Marty! Thank you to everyone who continues to support our therapeutic programs through donations, every little thing we receive goes directly to our special 4 legged friends in more ways than one! We have horses and ponies of different breeds, shapes and sizes in our therapeutic school who are always in need of something. If we have double or even triple of high demand items, blankets or tack we often store our extras for a rainy day or a future horse. If we get items we cannot find... a use for we ask permission to sell the item and use the raised money for our program expenses, sponsoring a family in need for riding lessons, veterinary care for our horses, and so on. So, if you’re ever interested in donating or have items you’re just not using anymore, think about donating to a therapy horse at Foxfield Stable Therapeutic Riding Program.
