I cannot believe the month is almost over! Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends! I wanted to share my experiences on advocacy. ... You might need to sit down for this... It’s hard! Finding the balance between improving my argument and being an exhausted irrational mama bear Listening with the intent to understand rather then respond... Finding ways to improve coordinated services for medically complex kids and their family... Working with medical staff to ensure your child gets the care they need without being black listed It’s hard. But we do it because we must. And we ask for grace when we’re less then our best. Someone reached out and helped me early on our journey and I promised myself that I would do the same when I had it in me to give. That time is now. If you need me, I’m here for you

Today was a milestone day.. we completed the growth kit for Bo’s wheelchair (he’s grown so much)! And we are trialing some slings for the ceiling track lift in his room. Thankfully this $10K unit was gifted to Bo by another SN family it also seconds as a fun ride! ... Colton was pretty concerned about Bo using the sling. But the staff at KidsInclusive and #BergElevating were amazing and allowed Colton to trial the system and see first hand how safe it is Big brother has given his stamp of approval Nighty Night Bo #FoxLife #FOXG1Awareness
