Casting call below for portuguese speaking men of Brazilian descent:
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of another great Luso-Canadian community leader, Mr. José Amaral, former president and longtime board member of the Amor Da Pátria CommunityCenter who sadly passed away a victim of COVID-19. Mr. Amaral was born in Faial, Azores and since immigrating to Canada was a selfless volunteer who was passionate about his cultural heritage and promoting it with such great enthusiasm for all to embrace. We will miss his friendly pop-ins to the Federation office over the years, his encouragement, great sense of humour and radiant smile. The Board of Directors of the FPCBP conveys its sincerest condolences to his family, friends and ADP Community. Paz à sua alma
Today is the 25th of April, an important day in Portugal’s history as in 1974 it came out of a dictatorial regime, with soldiers placing carnations in their guns for a peaceful end to the battle known as the carnation revolution that United the nation. Liberty and Democracy, always. Liberdade e democracia, sempre. #Feliz25DeAbril

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. David Nicodemio Tavares, a Luso-Canadian trailblazer, visionary and international business leader. David Tavares was born on January 23, 1947, in Feteiras, São Miguel, Açores, and immigrated to Toronto, together with his parents, in 1966. His passion and leadership in the telecommunications industry was like no other. He truly lived the American dream, while staying true to his roots and community. He was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tel-e Connect Systems / GlobeStar Systems Inc. / Connexall and Canada Pure. In 2003, he was the recipient of the FPCBP Business Excellence Award. The Board of Directors, on behalf of the Luso-Canadian community, sends our deepest condolences to his family: Anna, Tracy, Danny and Mike. Paz à sua alma!
