DA by Hugh Leonard Haunted by memories of days gone by and grievances that will never be settled, DA tells a charming, entertaining and oddly funny story about coming to terms with life. Set in 1968 just outside of Dun Laoghaire, this play won Tony Award's Best Play, 1978. If you have a drop of Irish blood in your veins, you won't want to miss what has been called "An Irish comic gem" by Douglas Watt, New York Daily News. A great big "Thank You" to those who supported FPT's theatre season by purchasing a poinsettia this year! The money raised is going towards the cost of our production of DRACULA which has been filmed and which we are hoping to bring to you on a stream service in the New Year! (Also if your plant starts to talk to you, please let me know and I'll replace it )

FP Theatre London is an independent theatre company that has been producing shows in London, Hamilton and Toronto for the last six years. Our first original work was Bram Stoker’s Dracula, adapted for the stage by founder, Liam Grunté, in June of 2014. Liam has revamped the script and is very excited to allow us to take it back to the stage in 2020. Given these unprecedented times, we are obviously unable to hammer down definite dates, however we will be updating the date...s as the matter progresses. We need people who can commit to both the reading as well as the production. The following is the originally proposed schedule, (subject to change based on the current pandemic): There will be four rehearsals. Our first rehearsal will be the entire reading then three rehearsals of total character work and getting familiar with the characters. Rehearsals tentatively start May 25th (Potentially Monday/Tuesday nights 6:30 - 8:30 pm) with an Invite Only reading in front of 10-20 guests on the evening of June 11th (Venue TBD). The cast then breaks until August 4th for script adjustments- Rehearsals resume Tuesday August 4th - Tuesday and Wednesday rehearsals the week of August 4th, then rehearsals continue Monday and Tuesday nights 6pm - 9pm to allow for blocking. Show TENTATIVELY Opens Halloween Week - **Possibly 2nd week run Oct 19-24th**still waiting for the venue to re-open in order to discuss and confirm tentative dates. CAST NEEDED: Dracula Tall, represents as male and can portray a character aged 40 70 years old Brides any age, any gender, any accent must be able to move quickly on stage Some stage combat will be required, so actors should be relatively agile To apply, please contact [email protected] and you will receive a monologue from the show to use when submitting a self-tape.
