Lincoln - Cake Smash Happy Belated Birthday to this sweet boy! This smiley little ham had the cutest expressions, even when he was mad I couldn't help but smile, because he was still so damn cute. This little man had a 'wild one' for his birthday (get it, wild animals? forest?) and absolutely destroyed his cake. I don't know if he actually ate that much, he wasn't very hungry, but boy did he absolutely smash his cake everywhere. With his cute little nose scrunches, and a few... angry faces, and a lot of smiles at mom and dad, this little man had a great session! I don't get to do cake smashes often, but when I do, I always have a blast - mess and all! Check out this little cutie's session for yourself!

Holden - Newborn Session I'm slowly trying to get back on track and play catch up since my surgery, and I am excited to finally share sweet little Holden's photos! This cute little mans had cheeks for days and his sweet little chin almost got hidden beneath them! The kicker is, he isn't a big baby! He just happened to get those big chunky cheeks his momma was hoping for!... This handsome boy was so sweet and was an absolute doll to work with. He never made a peep until the very end when he got hungry. We only got little snores and sweet little coos, so I was lucky enough to get some photos of his little hands out. Congratulations to the Akerlund family! You guys have the perfect little baby.

Weston - Newborn Session I was so excited when these two told us they were expecting! It's been quite a year with them. We were lucky enough to do their wedding in February before everything turned upside down in March. Their wedding feels like a lifetime ago, but nope it was still in 2020 which boggles my mind. But so much good has come out of 2020 like all these little babies who were born into such a crazy year. Cuteness like this little man is what gives you hope and som...ething to look forward to! Congratulations, guys! You're going to be incredible parents!

Hanru - Newborn Session Oh my goodness this little man is so adorable! I love when parents have items they would like to incorporate, and oh boy I had so many items to use! Hanru's parents are from South Africa, and they moved to our small town a few years back. The heritage and culture was so important, so we had to make sure we included elements like their traditional jerky, antlers, and some of dad's hobbies like Rugby and Hunting. The excitement his parents had for the i...mages made me so happy. It's the reason I do this. They're only little for a little while, so invest in those photos! You won't regret it.

Cecilia - Newborn I am a huge fan of the office so I need to get this out of my system right now, but she's name Cecilia and they call her Cece and they had such a Jim and Pam relationship so I was so excited photographing this little girl. ANYWAY that's all I needed to get my nerdy moment out of the way first. If more policies in this pandemic cause for no more newborn photography, please do not fret or cancel your session. Why? Because it's possible to do those sweet newbor...n photos even when your baby is older. It can be done. You know the saying the proof is in the pudding? Well here's the proof! How old is this wee one? The perfect 2 week recommendation? Actually, no, she was just shy of 12 weeks. That's right 3 months old! Where they are alert and smiley and rarely sleep. But then how do you do newborn photos when they're not fresh out of the womb? 1. Get them super full. 2. Wrap them nice and tight so they feel snug and warm. 3. Use larger props to ensure baby fits and is comfortable. and lastly 4. Have patience I had a colicky baby so I have pretty incredible patience when it comes to newborns and new babies. It may take longer than expected, it may need to get you to feed baby just to help get them sleepy, but it can be done. So, tag a new mom who may feel like they missed out on these sweet newborn photos and let them know it can be done!

Amaris - Newborn Session I have some baby cuteness to share! This sweet pea is so loved by her family. Her older brother was sure proud being able to hold his little baby. Last time I saw this crew momma was ready to have this little angel, so being able to see them again, and their gorgeous baby girl sure made my heart melt! Check out this adorable-ness!
