A quick update. We are open 5 days a week!! We are open Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm. Only one person in the store at a time and we have provided hand sanitizer at the front for you to use. A really thoughtful husband is framing his wife's father's Navy uniform for Christmas. It has been sitting in a box for decades, is in pretty rough shape and makes me wonder what happened the last day he wore it.

Framed pieces of the Berlin wall today. I do this type of thing so often I forget how unique some of the items I frame actually are.

We stretch multiple canvases every week, but not everyday do we go over 8 feet. The only limitation to how large of a canvas we can stretch is the length of the stretcher bar. I cut it, brace it and stretch it. Sometimes I need to stand on the table though.

Looks like I have to watch the HBO Series Pacific again. Canadian actor Scott Gibson who had a role in episode 5-8 came in today to frame a still from the series. Friendly and humble guy and I wish he had made it to episode 9 and 10.

Here is some keepsakes from a father and son dream road trip. They each have matching frames to remember that trip every day. Maybe you have something similar that you have always thought of doing, all you need to do is bring in the items and let us show you great designs.

This is a great example of a gift and tears were shed! If you have more items than just the medal, bring us everything you have and we can talk about placement and how to balance of all those items. Maybe everything won't fit but at least there will not be a large unfilled space. This customer has another medal to go beside the Korea UN medal, once they have that we will simply add it for them.

A common piece we frame is an old oil painting that was in the customer's parents or grandparents home and they always loved it. The framing is often very dated and a little worse for wear. A new frame really brings it back to life.

I thought this looked amazing. Kept the framing simple and clean; if there were double or triple matting, dark strong colours and wider frames, it would have been overwhelming. If you are thinking of doing a grouping of two or more you really need to consider the width of matting and framing and what it will look like side-by-side. You could do this on that large open wall you just have not been able to find the correct piece for or above your bed instead of that huge landscape or abstract. Regardless of where they hang, it will be a main focal point and maybe the perfect way to frame all of those family photos.

You have a couple photos you wanted to know if we could put in one frame. Sure can! Just bring them to me and and I will custom cut the acid free mat to the exact size and layout you need. I bet you don't have more than 50 though. Could be hockey cards, concert tickets, hockey game tickets, patches, match boxes, guitar picks or stamps. Dig it out of the box in you closet and bring it in so you can display it and see it everyday. Great Christmas gifts here.

What collectables do you have stuffed in a drawer? Can you see the Museum Glass? This customer had his for years and decided to bring it in for me to frame. I made a pocket in the matting for the box to just slip in and allow the friction to hold it in place. Why? Because it is signed, valuable and now, it is completely reversible.

Here is something we worked on yesterday. Museum glass, all acid free materials and hand sewn so this will be in exactly the same condition 100 years from now.

This was with 106.9 The Bear. They would just drop off boxes of signed memorobilia and let us do what we do....be creative.
