These past couple of months have been so challenging, for so many people, in different ways. In my profession as a Realtor, I was deemed an essential service, although I certainly didn’t feel like one. I didn’t feel like a front line worker in any way. I understand some people still had to buy and sell because they had done so before the pandemic but I did not have any such clients. I reached out to my clients that I did have on the go and asked them to put a hold on buying... and selling and they were happy to oblige. I social distanced, I only ever went to the grocery store one time in 3 months. I took this time to reconnect with my family, most of my business is done at night and on weekends so it was nice to slow down and be able to tuck my kids into bed at night. I kept in touch with clients too, I helped some find ways to remortgage or defer mortgage payments etc. I stayed working behind the scenes as much as I could. The Real Estate market is still going, it never stopped, but I chose to self isolate. I’ve decided it’s time for me to get back to work now. Yesterday I sold a home for my buyers who patiently waited for my return and today I listed a home to hit the market next week. I am being super careful and working at the comfort level of my clients. THANK YOU to all of my clients past and present who have been patient with me. I closed a few homes during this pandemic too and although some were not as easy, we did it! I love my job and I missed socializing so much, it’s such a huge part of my identity. I am a social butterfly! So if anyone is in the market to buy or sell, we are still taking huge precautions but I am open for business!
