My Loader is Meowing... May 25, 2015 On Thursday May 21, 2015 a new member was added to the Franceschini Brothers team.... The story begins with Rostislav Prokhorov, the loader and scale operator at the Commissioner Depot. As he was going about his usual morning check of the loader, he heard a strange sound. At first it sounded like a seagull so he thought nothing of it. As he was driving the loader closer to the fuel tank, Rostik heard the sound again, but this time it was coming from inside. As the sound continued, Rostik discovered it was actually the sound of a kitten. Not wanting to move the loader any further in fear of hurting the small animal, Rostik called on Justin Lehvonen for help. Justin was on site and able to quickly remove the loader panel that contained the kitten inside. The kitten was covered in oil, but unharmed. At only 4 weeks old, the kitten was cleaned and transported to the Cawthra Depot the same morning it was found. The kitten, whose name is now Felix, was adopted by Paul Lum and his family the very same day. Rostik and Justin, who were simply doing their daily jobs, ended up saving a small life and giving a kitten a new home - great job, guys!
