On World Architecture Day, we're celebrating architecture that respects and connects communities, people, and nature. The West Village District Energy Centre is the City of Surrey's first permanent energy centre, and supports the City's goals for carbon reduction. The visually dynamic building maximizes the surrounding land for park use, while showcasing the energy production process to the community. This May, Francl Architecture has been participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer to support the BC Cancer Foundation. We have committed to move for at least 30 minutes per day for every single day of the month. As a team we have practiced yoga, pilates and zumba; gone for walks, kayaked, and cycled. We began this challenge with a $300 donation to our team. Now, in the last week of May, our team of 29 has raised almost $4000 for BC Cancer! Here are some of the reasons we're moving this month. We have enhanced our capacity for more virtual meetings, teleconferencing and other online channels. Our project teams continue to collaborate and we will maintain our scheduled meetings with Clients, Consultants and Contractors, to ensure progress on all of the projects currently under way.
