Francs-Parleurs Toastmasters Winnipeg

We had a great meeting tonight with a theme of codes and keys and we had a great introduction to their use in history, with Kerri returning as toastmaster. We had two great speeches: Sebastien on Dynamic Leadership, and Svetlana Levchuk en Francais on the value of gestures in public speaking. Felix did a great job as table topics evaluator and grammarian. Our guest Tamanna enjoyed her time and spoke about her toastmasters firsts. Our next meeting will be August 12th - don't miss out!

Francs-Parleurs ended the year with a BANG last night. We had four prepared speeches! This would not have been possible without the help of Cindra, Don, Lloyd & Teresa who graciously accepted to evaluate the speeches. All four were back by popular demand. Lise completed her Competent Communicator; Kerri & Eveline both completed their Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) & now qualify for their Distinguished Toastmaster. Guest Aldrin (Pace) also presented Warming up Your Col...d Call, which will earn him an ACG. We also welcomed a previous guest Felix, as a new member. All these achievements will give our club President’s Distinguished Status. Congratulations to all our members & a sincere thank you to all who helped us during the year! Our success is your success! Another wonderful meeting, en français, at Francs-Parleurs on Wednesday. Guest Felix was back by popular demand. He filled in as General Evaluator. Other guests included Nicole from French Toast and Sébastien from West Winners. Toastmaster Svetlana chose Anniversaries as theme. It was appropriate because there were notable anniversaries in May and her Birthday was on Thursday. Lise presented her speech Do you want a pet & Eveline present a speech entitles It’s Legal Now. (I wonder what that was about?) A special thank you to the Club members who attended. Everyone’s participation was crucial to the meeting’s success. Great job everyone. It’s been said that April showers bring May flowers. At Francs-Parleurs, April showers brought us a new member. Welcome to David who officially joined our club May 1 and congratulations to Kerri who is the new member sponsor. Now, we only need two more new members to reach Distinguished Club status.
