The response to our idea of selling Cinnamon buns and hot cross buns this weekend has been overwhelming. We pulled the post after only a few hours because one of us has a sore throat and we are taking social distancing seriously. Sorry for any disappointment.
Cheese Souffl Ingredients : 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup flour 1 1/4 cup cheese... 1 1/4 cup milk 6 eggs( separate yolks and whites) Salt, pepper cayenne Method : Preheat oven 375 degrees. Prepare souffl dish/ pan( this can be a round ceramic casserole dish, a tall cake pan 7-8 diameter or several individual ramikins. Cover the surface area with a thin layer of butter and flour with Parmesan cheese. Mix together butter and flour in a pot until the butter is melted ,add the milk and stir constantly until the mixture is very thick ... this will take 3-5 minutes. Add the yolks and cook for another minute over a low heat. Remove from the heat . Add the cheese, stir until most of the cheese is melted, season and set aside. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form -but not so much that they begin to look dry. Transfer the cheese mixture into a large bowl and fold the egg whites into the mixture ( do this in three steps) try to be gentle so you can keep as much air in the mixture as possible. Fill the prepared dish(es) three quarters full. Bake small souffles for about 25 minutes, larger souffles for about 35 minutes. Serve right away:) See more
