Mary Forstbauer was a lady of grace & beauty. She epitomized faith, hope, charity, love, friendship & strength. She will be sadly missed by a great number of people & organizations. Our hearts are with her family and friends.

Help needed. We will lose the use of our practice hall as of May. We need a new place to practice that is very affordable or even better free. It is for Wed nights from 6pm to 7:30pm. Wednesday night practice and Update on the concert: We will be primarily on pipes and drums for the night with Austin and David going through their parts as well. We were remiss in not adding one of our member's accomplishment on Sat at the Indoor Gathering. Congratulations to Nicolas P on his 3rd place in beginner chanter and his help in our 1st place in the Gr 5 band contest. It was the first ever competition for Nicolas. Good work!!!

We would like to thank our members and the members of the Fraser Cheam Regional Pipe Band, who have have been working hard together and were rewarded with 1st & best drum corp in the Gr 5 band competition. Fraser Valley Youth Pipe Band is welcoming new committed members. If you are a beginning piper or drummer or want to be we would like to invite you to come play with us. Congratulations to all our members on a great BC Highland Games on Saturday. You played the best you have ever played and deserved that 1st place. Congratulations to our soloist on their placings: Luke - Gr 5 piping Slow Air 2nd Julia - Gr 4 drumming 6/8 3rd ... Will - Gr 4 drumming 2/4 6th, & 6/8 5th Instructor Eric - Gr 2 drumming Hornpipe/Jig 3rd & 5th in MSR We would like to thank our Instructors: Ken Clarke, Sarah McLatchy, Graeme Mack, Will Clarke, & Eric Clarke for their dedication and patience. We would also like to thank our parents for their constant support and to our members for their hard work in making this such a successful season. The trophy will be at the band bbq on Wednesday for everyone to see. See you all in September and remember to keep practicing.

Congratulations to Julia on her 1st Aggregate in Gr 4 Solo Side Drumming. Here's hoping for many more. We would like to give a big congratulations to the RMM Gr 5 band on their 1st ever performance in the competition circle. Good Job! As Ken stated: Congratulations to all our members, instructors and parents on a great performance at the Bellingham Highland Games.

Show your thanks to all Veterans and participate in your local Rememberance Day Ceremonies. Fraser Valley Youth Pipe Band will be attending the parade and ceremonies in Chilliwack at Veteran's Park on Yale Road. We will follow that by entertaining at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 on the corner of Mary St and Princess Ave and during the Chilliwack Chiefs hockey game later that night.

Help wanted. Tenor drum instructor needed for gr 5 band with beginner tenors. Wed nights 6pm to 7:30pm in Chilliwack. Prefer volunteer but willing to pay mileage or monthly fee.
